Ankle arthritis. Many options for ankle arthritis, including injections, physical therapy and surgery. Popular treatments include hyaluronic injections (a lubricant for the joint, such as Orthovisc, Synvisc, etc) or a simple arthroscopy (scope) to clean out the joint with minimal incisions. Ingrown toenails. Our office has performed thousands of thousands of permanent ingrown toenails to prevent regrowth, as well as secondary procedures for ones that have been treated before and have failed.
Ankle Arthroscopy. The ankle joint can be cleaned out, repaired, and improved with minimal incision. The benefit of this surgery is quick healing utilizing smaller incisions to get patients back on their feet quickly and return to work or activities soon.

Ankle fractures. Dr Warby has taken trauma call for many years at multiple hospitals and is a specialist for new ankle fractures, revision surgery for non-healing fractures, as well as second opinions. We also specialize in removing hardware left in the bones from previous surgeries.
Foot fractures. Same as ankle fractures, because of the many years of trauma call at the hospitals, Dr Warby has treated many different fractures in the foot and also repairs many fractures that need a second look.
Total ankle implant. When ankle arthritis continues to get worse, a total ankle replacement is an option. Dr Warby uses the newer low-profile ankle implants for more comfort and better results.

Achilles tendon. Our office specializes in many achilles injuries, including ruptures, tears, tendonitis, chronic pain and more. Dr Warby has treated many patients through the Emergency Room with complete achilles tendon ruptures and tears as well as chronic tendon problems such as tendinosis, which is a buildup of scar tissue inside the tendon from injuries.

Neuroma. A pinched nerve at the ball of foot, causes pain with walking and shoes. There are modern treatments for this including sclerosing alcohol injections (non steroid) and surgical release of the tight intermetatarsal ligament to alleviate pressure on the nerve, done with a small incision and quick healing. The injections also work well for patients with a previous surgery who continue to have symptoms.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. Sometimes a nerve becomes entrapped in the foot, causing shooting nerve pain to the arch area and along the ankle and lower leg. Similar to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in the wrist. Our office specializes in both injections and surgery for this.

There are many types of conditions causing pain and stiffness in the ankle, including osteochondral (cartilage injuries), extra bone growths, such as os trigonum syndrome, and other injuries in front and back of the ankle. We specialize in many type of injections, small incision surgery and larger surgeries to repair these. Dr Warby was an early adopter of the small incision subchondroplasty procedure to heal osteochondral and bone marrow lesions using a simple surgery.
Loose or unstable ankles can come from many sources, but the most common is following an ankle sprain that doesn't fully heal. The ligaments are loose and not tight any more, causing a sensation of an ankle that "gives out" easily.
